Meet Vengeance

Justice was lonely after her sister, Mercy, died, so we went in search of a another kitten about the same age to be her friend. I posted a wanted request on freecycle, (a local yahoo group where we can offer or request items... and pets), and got a response. Someone's mother in law's kitten had a litter, and they had one male kitten left to give away. She said it was a grey kitten. I was hoping for a little more variety, since Jus is grey, and almost didn't pursue it, but Ben said to go check it out anyway. Turns out he is a beautiful black and tan tiger striped. He was so friendly, purred a lot, and loves lots of attention; perfect for our family. I brought him home that evening. We are so grateful for his kind owners to give him to us.

He is a week older than Justice, and had the benefit of being raised by his mother, so he is a bit bigger and healthier than she. He was already eating dry cat food and knew how to use a litter box. We put out his food and were thrilled when Justice ate too! Although bottle feeding a kitten was a great experience, it is so much easier to set out food! He taught Justice how to clean herself and use the box. You good little kitten.

It took awhile to come up with the right name for him. We needed something to go along with Justice. Ben came up with Vengeance - since "justice" and "vengeance" come from the Lord and are His to give as He sees fit. These little kittens came from the Lord, and we are happy they are now our responsibility. We call them Jus and Ven.
